still winter here...

Well, another bitterly cold day on the prairies, so i guess it's still winter. Wind chills were up around -45C this morning, and although the actual temperature has got better thoughout the day (-36C this AM, and as of 10Pm this evening, -19C) the wind has also got up, so the windchill is still in the high -30C's... the joys af Manitoba i guess.We're still feeding cattle out on the land, calving is still a few weeks away (hope it warms up by then), but the cows weren't too interested in coming out of the shelter of the bush and i can't say i blame them..

Well, after many months (somehow it seems like years) of cajolling by my young lady friend, i've finally taken the plunge (NO not asked her to marry me - started this thing) and started to record my rambling thoughts... and believe me, they do ramble.
